Photographic Services
The Freelance Project is the job-training program at Youth in Focus. It is designed to help our students further their professional opportunities while developing their photography skills. Students work as freelance photographers for Youth in Focus as we partner with other non-profits, individuals and corporations.
Participants in the Freelance Project photograph all over Seattle and earn money while doing it. Through this project, Youth in Focus is able to offer low cost photographic services to fill the visual imagery needs of just about anyone. Our student freelance photographers photograph for newsletters, websites, books, art exhibits, annual reports, documentaries or events as well as take portraits of individuals, families and kids of all ages. The youth do all of the shooting, post-production, printing, processing and developing. By partnering with us you provide an opportunity for these youth to gain valuable work experience, hone their photographic skills, get on the job training and learn more about the community they live in.
For every assignment, the student photographers are paired up with a professional photographer who accompanies them to the location. The mentors are there to support, assist, and guide the youth as they photograph the assignment.

Services & Prices
Event Photography, which includes symposiums, luncheons, weddings, receptions, art exhibits, concerts, photo booth etc…our rate is $50/hour/photographer. This rate includes photography, post production and delivery of a CD of all finished images. The CD includes Color and BW images in both large jpgs for print and small jpgs for web use.
Headshots, studio set up can be on location or at our campus. Our rate is $50/person. You may have up to two outfits and the shoot lasts approximately 20-30 minutes per person. This rate includes photography, post production and delivery of a CD of all finished images. The CD includes Color and BW images in both large jpgs for print and small jpgs for web use.
Professional Style Portraits, studio backdrop or on location. Whether it’s a family, singular, your favorite pet or a couples portrait, our rate is $100. Depending on your needs we can photograph you in several outfits or at multiple spots within one location. The entire shoot from arrival to breakdown will last approximately two hours. This rate includes photography, post production and delivery of a CD of all finished images. The CD includes Color and BW images in both large jpgs for print and small jpgs for web use. Please feel free to contact us for details or with any questions. Depending on what you’re looking for, we may be able to adjust the rate for a shorter, simpler shoot.
Artwork or Products, studio set up or on location. Our rate is $20/piece. If a more elaborate set up for each individual piece is needed, we may adjust the price accordingly. Also if you have a large amount of product we may be able to offer a discount. Contact us with your specific product needs and we’ll work out the details!
