Bob Perkins joined Youth in Focus as Executive Director in January 2006. Before his time at YIF, Bob was ED at The Center for Wooden Boats in Seattle. He has also worked as an actor, boatbuilder, carpenter, sailor and fisherman and in children’s television. He holds a degree in theatre and art, is a certified high school teacher and a father of 3. Bob’s adolescent funding was provided via his father’s 30-year career at Kodak.
Bob believes that every person has an important story to recognize and celebrate. He finds energy and hope in the artistic visioning and exploration of our students as they examine their world and imagine their role in it.
