The Fremont Art Walk is upon us and Youth in Focus will be represented at the Fremont location of Dumpling Tzar. Stop by and see some NEW teen work from the 2019 Spring Quarter of programming, grab a plate of really fantastic dumplings and hang out in the very cool outdoor patio space with Chris for a while.

Fremont Art Walk is Aug 2, 6-9pm. 3516 Fremont Place Seattle, WA 98103 (close to Lenin)

Looking ahead, we are very excited to announce a show at Kirkland Arts Center that we’ve been working on since early this year. Works in Progress is a group show featuring the photography of Youth in Focus teens as well as art from youth at Make Your Mark and YouthCare.

From the Kirkland Arts Center Facebook Page:

Featuring art works from Seattle based organizations Youth in Focus, YouthCare as well as the Kirkland Art Centers own Make Your Mark program, Works in Progress gives a glimpse into how these mission driven organizations work with professional artists to develop curriculum to support youth in developing their own voice through the arts.
This reception is free and open to the public. Light refreshments and drinks for purchase. Ample free street parking.

Come celebrate the opening with us, August 16th, from 6-8pm at Kirkland Arts Center at what promises to be an inspiring show from Seattle-area youth artists.
