Hi my name is Adonis and this is my 5th class at youth in focus. For my final image I chose my friend Sammy. I like having him in my photo because I can say good things about him. I knew him since 6th grade and he has been a real one since then. Not a lot of people are real like him so I appreciate that he is still around.

Hello! My name is Alani!! I'm 13 years old and I chose this photo because it reminds me of my friends who like to do graffiti and I find it a very legendary art form. Graffiti has been around for a while and I feel like it's my style. I really respect people who do graffiti or tagging and I took this photo at the punk rock flea market. People should check it out cause it's a really cool place and if you like this style you will LOVE IT just like me.This picture describes my style because just like graffiti there isn't one type of style and that's how I am, especially when it comes to what I wear cause I change between 3 different types of styles! And those styles are (alternative,Scandinavian and sometimes it’s both together).

My family and I were having oranges and my mom put a half up to her face like it was her eye, and I took a picture. With this picture, along with the other pictures I have taken, I was trying to show little parts of my life that might not be life-changing or have a very big message, or even be a super important moment in my life, but they are meaningful and can help show little positive details and can help me appreciate the present. I think that is something photography can do, help capture a little moment that would otherwise be forgotten or not even thought about.

My name is Jahyel and I am 13 years old. This is my first darkroom class at Youth in Focus. I enjoyed taking pictures of graffiti and people. That's why I chose my final images. My first image is Adonis, my brother, in front of a wall full of graffiti. My self portrait is me taking a picture of myself in the mirror. I enjoyed this class and I'm looking forward to taking more classes.

My name is Mathias and the photo I took was at my highschool homecoming. This photo is special because it was the first photo I used with flash and it brings out all the details such as the tinsel that made it look shiny and the butterflies that make it magical. It's also my favorite because it's the first photo where I've smiled meaningfully because I’m not usually a picture person.

My name is Vish, I am 17 and am from Bothell. This image was taken in the underground garage of the UW Bothell/Cascadia College campus. I was walking with my friend to class when I saw greenery and natural light coming in from the ceiling, standing out from the concrete and artificial lighting of the garage. I like images that look like a still from a movie and I try to replicate that in my photos.
