National Geographic Society, with support from Youth in Focus, invites you to join Photo Camp Seattle from August 24 to August 28, 2026.
National Geographic photographers and Explorers will teach participants the basics of photography and guide them as they tell the unique stories of their communities.
We are looking for students between the ages of 15-19 who are passionate about learning and practicing photography.
There will be two Zoom online informational sessions to help you learn more about this opportunity!

Application deadline is Friday, May 1st @5:00 PM.
DETAILS:
•Photo Camp is entirely free to attend.
• The workshop is an overnight, six night and five-day program, with check in on Sunday, August 23.
• Lodging, meals, transportation, and all necessary equipment, including cameras, will be provided for the duration of Photo Camps.
• Must be 15 years old by the first day of camp (August 23rd).
• Must have taken a Youth in Focus class by application deadline.
SET SCHEDULE:
- Application Deadline: Friday, May 1st @ 5:00 PM
- Roster Confirmation: Monday, June 1st
- Check In and Orientation: Sunday evening, August 23rd, 2026
- Camp Dates: Monday - Friday, August 24th-28th, 2026
- Location: Lodging and meals at University of Washington Seattle Campus, field trips and photo assignments in the general Seattle area.
