Portfolio and Job Readiness: Web development, independent studies, and portfolio refinement

I am a student photographer with youth in focus. Photography has always intrigued me. How does a camera just capture something that is always moving? It preserves the movement so you can always remember it no matter what. I want to photograph people and places. Some things that people usually miss in this fast paced life. In every photograph you can see and feel an emotion and you can relate to it in one way or another.

In Practice: Applying photography knowledge to build and create in a working photo studio

I am Noor A. This is my second Photography class. I took a portrait photography class for a credit in fall of 2023. Where I learned some basics of camera and lightroom.

Why I like doing photography:  I find photography interesting.  It is cool - you can take pictures and preserve the moment.  I have been taking pictures since forever. When I was young my dad owned a canon camera which he took with him whenever we had family outings or a wedding.  My dad had a phone with a camera in it after that.  I began taking pictures when I used my dad’s phone - I used to take his phone all the time.  My sister and I used to take pictures and edit them with the filters – we would take pictures of my older brother, and put a mustache on him and hats.

These days, especially when cameras are everywhere it’s hard to find someone who can operate a real camera. It was good to learn how to use a camera in this program.

Camera and Digital Editing Fundamentals: Elements of Design, Photography, Photoshop, and Intro to Graphic Design

I am Noor A. I am from Pakistan. This was my first time in an organized photography class. I have been a fan of photos ever since I was a kid.  My dad had a Canon camera that he took photos of whenever we went outside to a museum or a national park. I like taking photos because I can preserve them as a memento for the future.

A common theme in my pictures are people. Every person has a story that others don't know anything about. The emotions that are shown to people outside can be very different from what they actually feel. To capture a moment of someone in public where they are not posing for the camera makes me wonder about them and what things are they hiding.
