My name is Mirabelle and I'm 14 years old. This is only my second photography class but I have learned so much. I wanted to find a photography style that I liked in this class since I already knew the basics of how a camera worked. This class gave me many opportunities to experiment with different types of style and editing techniques. I'm excited to further my photography. I would like to explore more about putting emotion and deeper meaning into my photography. Black and white photography is one of the styles I have gravitated towards along with portrait photography.
My name is Mirabelle. I have been with Youth in Focus for three years. This photo is taken at 12th Ave square park, as we were heading back to the bus stop after one of our field trips. These chairs seemed to have a stoplight on them almost like the chairs are being abducted by a spaceship. I thought this was a cool photo because of how vibrant the colors are and the natural lighting. This photo is different from the photos I normally take. Most of the time I take photos of people so it was interesting to try to take more pictures of stand still objects. I hope to incorporate more stationary objects in my photography in the future.
These photos represent the feeling of joy I had in my childhood even though I’m still young these photos remind me of what my younger self was like. I have two younger sisters who I get to watch grow up, and they remind me of me at their age and all the things I had back then. These photos are for them to look back on to remind them of their childhood.

Hi my name is Mirabelle, I’m a sophomore in high school I have been with Youth In Focus for 3 years. As a teenage photographer, I'm constantly inspired by the world around me. While I’m still trying to find my favorite style I like photography because, with my photography I'm able to capture the fast-paced moments of life and freeze them in time, creating images that are both interesting to look at and remind me of moments from my life. Whether I am photographing nature, documenting my friends and family, or experimenting with new concepts, I'm always trying to push the boundaries of my photography. Through my photography, I hope to inspire others to see the little thing about life, and to appreciate the beauty and complexity of life.
