My final image to me feels like I took a snapshot out of a movie- it feels so unreal as to how I was able to get what I saw so perfectly. I love how the colors of the buildings really pop. It feels like I got a perfect view of the city from a little pocket of the forest or something like that. It brings me great joy that I was able to make the image look how I wanted to, and that I was able to capture it so beautifully in the first place. It’s noise-y but so romantic. I took this picture on one of our first photo walks- it was one of the first pictures I took. I love it more and more each time I get the chance to look at it. Like how did I do that. How did I capture what I saw so perfectly. It makes me so incredibly happy.
To me, my final image feels like an old memory, or something that you would see hanging on the wall that makes you think of old Seattle. It feels vintage, and the black and white definitely add to that.
In this picture, it almost seems like everything is set up- almost like something out of a movie especially with the angle of the photo. Or a scene that you paused and looked at for a long time, to capture every detail from that scene.
Another thing that I love about the photo is that it has movement to it. It just feels quick, as a whole. Almost like you’re glimpsing at that scene as you’re running, or in a moving car and the movement and blur of both the cars and the photo itself accentuates that glimpse feeling in the photo.
