My series of work is called The Familiar. I titled it this because all my photos are things I've been accustomed too. Even though they're all commonplaces I still find the beauty and longing that I feel in these photos. I try to focus on nostalgic and homesick feelings in my work, which I feel I represented perfectly. I would also like to thank Youth in Focus for giving me this opportunity.

I titled my statement ‘Nostalgia’ because I feel that looking at these pictures, in the future, I will feel nostalgic pieces of my childhood. Having these photos as physical copies feels as if I have the memory in my hands. I would like to thank Youth in Focus for helping me blossom my creativity and photography skills. I am truly grateful for this opportunity.
