My name is Azura M. I live in seattle. And I'm a multimedia artist. This is my third class at Youth in Focus.
I chose this because I thought it was pretty. The subject of the photo is a tally of someone who I met via my mothers work and we became quick friends. I had fun this quarter even though there were a few hard days and I had no inspiration for the majority of the class. I can develop my own film, confidently print my own pictures and use a camera in manual with no issues.

My final is an image of the elementary school near my house I went to and my self portrait is an image my friend tally helped me take at the park near the same school.

This quarter I took a risk and started working with medium format. I used an older camera that gave me quite a hard time. It was fully manual and had no light meter, which helps me figure out how dark or light my photos are. It took me all quarter to get a roll of photos that aren't blurry or poorly exposed. I also struggled a lot with my creativity over the quarter. I felt uninspired and had a hard time finding things to take photos of.
My final ended up being a photo of Betty and Sam I accidentally double exposed. You can tell especially on Sam's face, he turns into the trees.
I'm not particularly proud of this image but considering everything else I took I believe it's one of the better ones.
My self portrait is just a mirror selfie in my room with the camera I was using.
My theme is This Autumn.
My final and self-portrait were both taken this fall hence the theme “This Autumn”.
This quarter was my first time using film cameras, and I was unsure how I was going to feel about it. I had never taken photos in black and white, and I was nervous I wouldn’t get any good pictures. but I ended up getting lots of good pictures! As well as I learned a lot. I had so much fun although I struggled a bit.
My name is Azura.
My theme for this quarter was dynamic poses.
I took around 48 photos of my friend Betty doing different poses. I only had time to print one but I loved quite a few of them. I'm proud of the contrast I got in them, this one didn't come out how I was hoping since I'm not used to printing so large.
Thanks to tally for helping out and to Youth In Focus for everything they do.
My name is Azura Moon L.
I am from South Seattle WA
I taught myself and took one class from YiF for photography.
I work with multimedia. I find that I cannot work with only one form of art, because it limits my creativity.
I find influence from my friends.
I have no achievements worth mentioning, hopefully one day I will.
